The ceremony was attended by representatives of PETEC and PVOIL leadership, along with representatives of the contractor consortium PTSC Thanh Hoa – Dai Dung III Mechanical Cooporation – Phuong Anh Design And Trading Construction Corporation, as well as numerous staff members, partners, and guests.

The project has a total investment of VND 256.6 billion, including an EPC contract valued at 218.3 billion VND, with a construction timeline of 12 months. This is one of the largest-scale projects of PETEC and PVOIL in the past decade, demonstrating their commitment to enhancing storage capacity, distribution capability, and energy security in the region.

PETEC – Over 40 years accompanying Vietnam’s energy sector
Established more than 40 years ago, PETEC has developed a nationwide distribution system with four major oil terminals across the North, Central, South, and the Mekong Delta regions, with a total storage capacity of over 140,000 m³. Among them, the PETEC Hai Phong Oil Terminal – built nearly 30 years ago – plays a key role in the receipt, storage, and supply chain for PVOIL in the northern market.
The expansion marks a significant transformation for PETEC, moving toward a modern, safe, and internationally compliant terminal model with optimized fuel supply chains.
Towards sustainable development and deeper integration
The Groundbreaking Ceremony of the PETEC Hai Phong Oil Terminal Expansion Project represents the beginning of a new development phase for PETEC – a member of PVOIL – aiming to strengthen competitiveness, expand storage infrastructure, and solidify its position within Vietnam’s energy sector.
Once completed, the project is expected to significantly enhance fuel receipt, storage, and distribution capacity in the northern region, while contributing meaningfully to the national energy supply chain.
This groundbreaking event not only signifies collaboration among participating parties but also reinforces PETEC’s strategic vision in its sustainable growth journey.
